Final Fantasy IX is a role-playing game that came out in 2000 for the PlayStation. Gaia is the name of an old fantasy world that the game is set in. In this world, the story is about what happens after countries fight over land. A thief from the Zidane tribe has taken the country’s princess hostage in Alexandria. It was like a challenge from Lindblum, a country close by. This thief has joined forces with Garnet and other bad guys to overthrow Queen Brahne’s rule in the kingdom of Alexandria. After a few levels, players will learn that the fall of Queen Brahne is really just a cover for a much bigger threat. Their world could end because of this threat.
The map of the game will change to battle mode when the player faces an enemy. In front of the battle screen, enemies will be shown. The enemy will be attacked by each side in turn. Either side will lose if they kill all the other sides off first. Besides using weapons, these characters can also use their special skills to hurt other people. Vivi, for instance, can use his magic to deal a lot of damage to all of his enemies. Garber can call on an animal to heal everyone on the team. To protect the world, you will have to get through a lot of dangerous systems in different places. Battles are still done one turn at a time. But the picture in this version is much better, and the characters will move during battle instead of just having captions like in the first two versions. Not only does this version introduce a ton of interesting moves for use in battle, but unlike its predecessors, it also lets the character learn a whole new set of skills instead of just fixing one. Ability points, on the other hand, will be needed to change and learn skills. You can also get power points at the end of each match. Also, this game has two new ways to fight, which players can use as Steal or Jump. Last but not least, the game lets players call on creatures to help them fight. Keep in mind that the player can’t use this feature until they know how to summon something.
